Sometimes my life feels boring.
In concept, I am never bored. There is always laundry, dishes and mouths to feed. Yet, my spirit gets restless.
For many years, the journey felt crazy, exciting, and adventurous. Marriage, house bought, baby born, baby born, another new home, baby born, adoption. For 13 years, there has always been something “new”. I always felt God’s thumbprint in my life.
Now, there are weeks months days that In self-focused indulgence, I feel God forgot me.
Mundane.
Ordinary.
Monotonous.
Though I have come to realize that it is me. The same God exists. I have changed. ![]()
The Lord replied, “Look at the nations and be amazed! Watch and be astounded at what I will do! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.” Habakkuk 1:5
Appreciating blessing in the mundane.![]()
Seeing implicit creativity in the monotonous.
Right here. Right now. Doing something in my own day.
A conversation with a neighbor.
Building relationships on the soccer field.
Serving Him through boo boos and sniffles.
It is amazing what you can see.
Just open your eyes.
